Can Vastu be corrected without breaking a single wall?

Whenever one hears of Vastu the question which arises in mind is whether Vastu defects can be corrected without breaking a single brick? The reason is that most vastu consultants they know advice a lot of demolition to make the house compliant with vastu.

Many of vastu consultants today have started suggesting Yantras and Pyramids for vastu corrections – it is their solution to negate the vastu defects. Unfortunately they do not work most of the times. The reason is the imbalance in space which still remains even after the installation of these yantras and pyramids. In face pyramids if wrongly placed can increase the imbalance.

In MahaVastu we suggest vastu rectification using the following methods:

1. Colors: Suggestions to change the colors of the walls are made to achieve elemental balance in the space.
2. Re-location of activities: We make suggestions to change activities as per the available options, for example, we may suggest that the rooms of son and parents may be swapped, or the guest room be converted to master room or refrigerator may be shifted to a particular place in the house.
3. Elemental correction: We may suggest that a particular colored stone slab be placed below the stove.
4. Space cutting: We may suggest placing a colored strip around the toilet seat if it is creating a vastu defect.
5. Closing an activity: In rare situations we suggest to stop using a toilet if it is at the wrong place.

Vastu Remedy for Anxiety

Anxiety is an unwelcome by-product of modern lifestyle. Peer pressure, comparison with others around us makes us desperate to achieve something and achieve it fast. When things do not happen as we desire, we become anxious and stressed and when you are in this state of mind for long it results in hypertension, diabetes and other lifestyle diseases.

As per Vastu, there are three reasons for anxiety; either you are spending more time in the area between the east and south east direction, or there is a vastu defect in this area. In Vastu, this zone is assigned to the activity of churning. In ancient vastu texts it is suggested to perform the churning of the curd in this part of the house.

In modern context churning is performed by mixer-grinder. So if this area is falling in between the east and south-east, you can place the mixer-grinder here.

However, not all homes have the kitchen here. In that case there is a very simple remedy; place a picture showing this activity. It can be a painting of a lady churning curd and that will work well to reduce the anxiety and stress.

Vastu Remedy || Chhota Bheem for confidence

Bunty, my friend’s son, is 7 years old now. A year back my friend was extremely worried that his son is very timid. He does not talk to anyone in school and spends activity time alone. First he thought it is due to shyness that does not time. But when he observed carefully he realized that his son lacks confidence. Even when his friends or his wife’s friends talk to him he does not respond and runs away from the drawing room.

He was worried that his son will not be able to succeed with such low confidence. He wanted to know if Vastu can help his son to build his confidence.

I looked at this house from this perspective and suggested him few changes in the color scheme and placement of different activities like bedroom, pooja room, etc. I also suggested him to paste a large poster of Chhota Bheem in the zone of confidence (the angular division between South-East and South).

I asked him to inform me of any positive developments.

Few months later he had a very interesting incident to report; they were travelling to their parent’s place and in the son’s bag there was a plastic gun which children use to spray holi colors. Naturally the security guys at the airport spotted it and told them to leave it with them.

Their son suddenly started arguing.

“This is a toy gun,” he quipped, “I will play holi with my dadaji.”

“You can’t carry it with you, son.” The security man said.

“But it can cause no harm.” He said angrily.

Both my friend and his wife were surprised at the sudden change. Such are the effects of vastu programming.

Kamdhenu for Wish Fulfillment

One of the most potent Mahavastu symbol is the Kamdhenu Cow. When placed in the zone of Anxiety and Churning it results in fruitful outcomes in your life.

Kamdhenu appears in Indian mythology at two places, once as an outcome of the churning of ocean where it was one of the first of the various gems that came out of the exercise. It also appears in the story of Sage Vishwamitra where she helps Sage Vashistha in fulfillment of his desires and objectives. 

Both these stories are symbolic in the sense that these phenomenon happen in the human mind all the time.

A person is generally anxious about attaining of objectives and desires hence we can say that anxiety and churning are functions of the human mind.  If they result in fruitful outcome they are good for the human being if they do not they cause stress related disorders in one’s life.

Kamdhenu cow when placed in the MahaVastu zone of anxiety – the angular area between east and south-east helps in converting this churning into positive outcome. This is the same zone which is mentioned in Vishwakarma Prakash as the area where curd should be churned to produce butter. Butter is the fruitful outcome of churning and this activity is also symbolizing wish fulfillment.

How Vastu Symbols work?

In Mahavastu we use several symbols to program the space for a purpose. These we call as Vastu programming remedies. They vary from brass statues of nandi bull, Kubera, eagle, lion, kamdhenu, Sun, rabbits, etc or polyresin figurines of horses, wood figurines of elephants and ashoka stambh.

These symbols are called programming symbols because they communicate with the universe which communicates using symbols. You can also say that these symbols program the space as well as the sub-conscious and hence can also be called the symbols of the famous law of attraction. Since symbols are a language, you should use symbols from your own culture. For example, a Garuda statue of Nepal and Tibet will be different than that in India

MahaVastu symbols can be applied after the space is balanced as per the five elements and the earth energies are harmonized. Once this is done the symbols work like magic.

Please note that vastu symbols are not necessarily religious symbols and so there is no need to worship them daily. They start working for you as soon as they are placed.

Vastu CaseStudy || Expressionless to Expression Full

A couple contacted me with their problem; their son was unable to express properly and cultivate friendship in school. His teacher always used to say during the PTA, that he stays quite during the class and doesn’t talk. He was already in Class XII and his parents were worried that this will cause problem in his college studies and career.

Now who is the epitome of expression in India? Lord Krishna. Isn’t he? And what is the tool he uses to express himself? Flute.

So I advised them to install a picture of Lord Krishna playing flute in the zone of fun and entertainment. I told them to identify a wall in the angular area between North-East and East where the picture can be installed and go ahead and do it.

Since observable change in such a problem takes some time to be realized, within six months they informed me with joy that their son is now participating in extracurricular activities in school and now has a small network of close friends with whom he enjoys free periods in the school.

A year later they were delighted that he is having a great time with friends in college.

Case Study: Vastu Defect in North East: Effect on Residents

After my last post in this blog, I got a lot of queries over phone and WhatsApp asking whether North East effects are always so serious. I said, “No. It depends on the type of Vastu Defect.”

While Toilet Seat or a Kitchen stove in North East are the most severe vastu defects, there can be other defects which effect mental and physical health of the residents.

A friend of my visiting my office one day and said, “For some reason my daughter is suffering from headaches. The doctors have got the MRI done and have not been able to diagnose the cause of her pain. The MRI report is normal.”

When there are unexplained problems they can be due to vastu.

I asked him, “Is there a pink color painted in North East wall and few nails there?”

“My whole house is painted pink as our daughter likes that color. Since my wife is a painter we have several paintings put over nails. But I do not think there are nails in North-East.”

I knew that he has no idea  as to where the sun rises from so I asked him to locate the North-East with a compass and let me know if finds nails there.

Next day he was again sitting across the table saying that my observations were correct.

I asked him to remove the nails and her headaches will vanish. Few days later he informed that indeed they have vanished.

A vastu defect in the North-east invariably effects the mental or physical health of the inhabitants.

How MahaVastu Experts suggest Vastu Corrections?

Many people are curious to know how do MahaVastu experts suggest corrections to Vastu defects and how is it possible to correct Vastu defects without performing any demolition to the house.

In this article, I have am answering this question in a simple manner.

As per MahaVastu, every direction is associated with one of the five element i.e. Water, Air (Wood), Fire, Earth and Space (Metal). So is each color, object, equipment and activity. For example, North is associated with Water, Green is associated with Air, Kitchen burner is associated with Fire,  a refrigerator is associated with Earth, and sleep is associated with Earth.
 

These five elements have several relationships between themselves. MahaVastu recognizes this as three cycles;

(1)    The Creation and Exhaustive Cycle: Water creates Air, Air creates Fire, Fire creates Earth, earth creates space and space creates water.

(2)     The Destruction Cycle: Water destroys Fire, Fire Destroys Space, Space destroys Air, Air destroys earth and earth destroys water

(3)    The Disturbing Cycle: For example, Air disturbs Space

In simple words, Vastu defects and problems associated with it occur when an object or activity of an element is present in the zone associated with a disturbing or destroying element thereby causing imbalance in the zone they are present.

MahaVastu experts use the creation and exhaustive cycles to negate the effect of this imbalance. For example, Mahavastu expert may suggest to put a particular color stone slab below the kitchen burner to negate the presence of Fire element in the zone of water.

This is called elemental balance method and is one of the main techniques used in MahaVastu.
