Vastu Case Study || 60- to 90+ in Board exams

A couple, our family friends, approached me for Vastu audit. Their daughter was not performing well in studies and she was soon to appear for her XII board exams in few months’ time. In the half yearly exams conducted by her school, she scored 58%. In recent months she had also started snapping at her mother when asked to study.

When I observed their home few things could be immediately related to the problems stated by them. She was sleeping in the zone of depression, the whole house was painted in a light shade of pink, there was a toilet in the zone of education which could not be closed as it was adjoining the master bedroom.

I asked them to shift their daughter to the vastu zone of Skills, keep her study table in the zone of education, treat the toilet with a particular element and paint the house in off-white. Besides I also suggested them some Mahavastu programming remedies.

These were the primary vastu suggestions I made. In no time they implemented all the suggestions and we waited with fingers crossed for the results to manifest.

As the board exams approached her study hours did improve but in the pre-board held in February she managed to show only a marginal improvement scoring 62%.

I assured them that give the vastu remedies some time to show results and surely in April when the results of the board exams were announced she passed with 91% score.

God Bless her in her future endeavors.

Vastu Case Study || Village Scene has never failed me

A friend of mine runs a global consulting firm based out of Bangalore. He has been in business for the last 15 years and employs a good 200 employees. Whatever profits he made he re-invested in his business without bothering about owning an own place. The family was living in a rented place for many years.

When I visited them in Bangalore, his wife confided in me, “Manoj, we are unable to buy a property. Whenever we try to buy the property we like, something or the other happens and the negotiations fall out.”

“I am worried about our security now that we have a son. How long will we continue to stay in a rented place?”

I studied there rented apartment and made some suggestions regarding vastu balance. After the house was balanced for vastu elements I suggested them to put a village scene in West.

In less than three weeks, she gave me a call to inform that they have registered a plot of land in their names.

Village scene has never failed me.

Ganesha in Vastu || Part 1

In Rajasthan, there is a culture to install green colored statues of Lord Ganesha just above the door frame one facing the outside of the house and one facing inside of the house. This trend has been prevalent due to two myths; firstly it is believed that Lord Ganesha guards the house and secondly, that poverty resides at the back of Lord Ganesha. Hence this practice where two idols are placed back to back started several generations back.

Due to lack of proper Vastu knowledge, this is still in practice while actually it is a myth.

From our culture, we all know what happened when Lord Ganesha was guarding his Mother – not a pleasant experience to have one’s head chopped and replaced by that of an elephant. Despite this practice, the wealth of several families in the state have declined over the generations.

Lord Ganesha should not be placed on the door as per MahaVastu.

Moreover, there should not be more than one idol of Lord Ganesha in the house. Lord Ganesha should only be installed in the Pooja and not used as a decorative piece. I have seen several families who take pride in their collection of Lord Ganesha statues. Depending on the vastu zone they are placed they will cause different problems in the life of the residents.

If you have multiple paintings and figurines of Lord Ganesha, please retain one, place it in the Prayer room and submerge the others in water.

Avoid buying apartments with these Vastu Defects

Many a times when we are looking to buy an apartment we do not get enough opportunity to consult a vastu expert after we have found an apartment as per our needs. Sometimes we do not want to miss the opportunity and other times the owner or the broker forces us to take an immediate decision.

Nevertheless, we should not end up buying an apartment which are non-correctable by vastu remedies.

In this article I give you three absolute NO when selecting an apartment to buy. To understand this stand in the center of the apartment with a compass in hand and familiarize yourself with the orientation and layout of the house.

Now look towards the North-East direction. You should not find any kitchen stove or toilet seat here. If so do not buy the house.

Look towards the South West direction and observe what is there. You should not find any kitchen stove or toilet seat here.

Look for the angular area between the South and South-West of the house. The main door of the house should not be here.

Once you have ascertained that none of these three defects are there you may go ahead and buy the house. The house may still have other vastu defects which can cause problems in life, but you can easily engage a MahaVastu consultant to get them rectified.

MahaVastu Case Study || Silly Mistakes in Exams

Riddhima was a brilliant student in school. She used to get the scholar’s ribbon every year. Scholar ribbon is given to top 5-10 students of each class. Due to silly mistakes she makes in the exams even students who are less talented than her scored better than her.

In MahaVastu, we work on problems stated by the client and each problem thus stated points to one or more vastu defects and the tenets of MahaVastu guide us to solutions.

One of my friend was calling us for a long time for dinner and to show his house such that we ensure it is vastu compliant.

When I went there, I first measured the directions and overlaid the zones on the map which we took from the builder’s website. I then asked the lady of the house to describe the problems which she wants addressed from Vastu.

“Is that necessary, we really don’t have any problems?”

“OK in that case why do you want me to do Vastu?”

“We want our house to be Vastu compliant,” was her reply.

“Madam, let me tell you that your house has several vastu defects but they are not effecting you, I will not recommend you to do anything.”

“Still if we correct them won’t it assure us that they will not harm us in future?”

“No, nature has its own way to balance the space so if the vastu defects are not effecting you it means they have got balanced and by attempting to balance would in fact mean creating imbalance.” I explained.

“I suggest think of a problem which first come to your mind and I will address that.”
She thought for few minutes and then said, “My daughter does not get results as per her efforts in studies. She studies well and scores well but still students who are less intelligent than her score more,” she stated and as an afterthought she added, “She makes some silly mistakes during her exams which brings her score down.”

“Where does she study?” I asked.

“She generally studies in the children’s room but for exams she studies in the study room.”

I immediately saw the layout of their house and found that their study room is in the zone of Anxiety and Churning. This is where Riddhima studies when preparing for the exams. I asked them to change their study table to the zone of education and gave them few suggestions on changing colors of the walls which were causing imbalance in education and clarity of mind.

Recently I have come to know from my friend that she has topped her class in the half yearly tests held recently.

Vastu of an irregular shaped house

What is my house is not aligned to cardinal directions? What if it is irregular in shape? Can we still make it in accordance to Vastu? I have found a lot a people asking this question. What the question means is that the house, rather than facing North or South or East or West is facing the diagonal direction, North-East, South-East, North-West, South-West or facing a direction which is at an angle with the above directions. They also worry when their house is not regular in shape for example, an apartment in a multi-storied complex.

The tenets of Vastu were written with a square house in mind which is aligned to one of the four main directions. In modern age the house can be aligned to any angle and be of any shape. While kothis and bungalows these days are rectangle, apartments are of random shapes. The objective of the builder when making a residential complex is not vastu but optimum utilization of space.

The question thus arises; how to read the vastu of such houses and how to balance them?

Well, MahaVastu has a solution to this. In mahavastu we grid the house not in a 3x3 grid but in 16 angular divisions. Due to this mahavastu becomes applicable to any shape and orientation of the house. The strength of each angular division is measured and seen by the bar chart graph which we create for each floor of the house.

As per me only mahavastu has the technique to evaluate the vastu of such houses and applying vastu corrections on them.

Role of Vastu Consultant in Buying a Property

For most of us, buying a property is one of the most important milestone in life. Property can be for residential or business use and in either case a lot of important episodes which create good and bad memories happen in these property we buy. While good memories are cherished, bad memories are feared.

In the last years more and more people are realizing the importance of buying a vastu friendly property and have understood the effect of space on their lives and psyche. Whether it is a kothi or apartment which they are buying they want it to help them in achieving the purpose and goals of your life.

Here is where a qualified Vastu expert comes into play. Let me explain what role a vastu expert play in helping you choose the right property.

A good vastu expert understand that there is no such property which is 100% vastu compliant. So he focuses on identifying the properties which are not having severe vastu defects. He understands which vastu defects can be easily corrected using vastu correction techniques and which cannot be rectified. He will advise you accordingly on the most suited property.

There are certain orientations which are more suited for a particular type of profession. For example, an east facing plot will be better for politicians and those who thrive on networking.

A good vastu consultant will also be able to filter the prevalent myths and will not take them into consideration while suggesting a good property to buy. For example, those who suggest South-West or North-East to be the ideal location for toilet are doing so based on certain myths which have no relevance to Vastu. By following such advice the client may end in serious health and financial troubles.

A good vastu expert will not suggest a property on pure commercial consideration. Many experts are focused on how much remedies can be sold to the client rather than whether the property is suited for the client. In my opinion this is not a proper practice.

Most houses and apartments can be made vastu compliant by balancing the space with appropriate colors and other techniques. The importan
t part is choosing the right vastu consultant.

Vastu for excellence in XII Board Exams

In less than three months from now, students in their final year of school will both go through one of the most challenging tests of their life – the XII and X board examinations. This is the period of extreme anxiety and stress both for the students and their parents.

Can Vastu help the students to excel well in this exams. Yes.

There are five pre-requisites to great performance in studies – concentration, retention, recall, clarity of mind and good stress.

The angular area between West and South West which is termed as “West of South West” is the zone of studies as per Vastu. The North East zone provides clarity of mind, the South West zone provides improved skills and East of South East needs to be balanced to reduce anxiety. The anxiety should be enough to keep the students on their toes and at the same time it should not be such that it results into undue stress. Stand in the center of the house with a compass in hand and locate the aforesaid four directions.

Vastu Case Study || Aversion to Marriage

A friend of mine gave me a call one night. He was visiting his sister in Vadodara and an issue over there made him call me from that place.

“Manoj Sir, my nephew has suddenly got averse to marriage. He says he does not want to marry. He has become very interested in religion and visits one or the other temple and spends long hours there.
Both my sister and brother-in-law are very worried.” He said in one breath.

“Tell me when did it start? What led to this behavior?” I wanted him to tell me in more detail.

“They are staying in this place for last 4 years ever since they constructed this bungalow.  They were already looking for suitable match for him when this change in his behavior happened about six-seven months back?”

“Was he ready for marriage before that?”

“Yes very much. He even called me a year back and told me, ‘Mama ji, start looking for a bride for me. Your nephew wants to marry.’”

“OK. Did they do any changes in the house around that time?”

“Not much they have just shifted the mandir.”

“Where is the mandir now?”

“I have not yet checked it. Will do so tomorrow after buying a compass.”

I already understood what has happened. I told, “Check if the Mandir is in South-West of their house.”

Since he had consulted me he knew how to measure the directions. Next day he reported that indeed the Mandir is in South-West of their house.

I told him to shift it towards west and his problem will be resolved. Few weeks later he informed me that the nephew is married and is off to a honeymoon.

As per MahaVastu, South West is the direction of Relationships and Skills. Placing a mandir there caused him to focus his thoughts on religious matters and be averse to relationships. In Mahavastu, we believe that every effect has a cause and without an effect there is no need to worry of the cause. Once the cause of an effect is diagnosed, it is just a matter of removing the cause to remove the effect.
