The 3 types of luck and how does vastu enhances them

Chinese philosophy specifically mentions three types of luck which influences the success and growth of an individual; earth luck, heaven’s luck and man’s luck.

Once you understand them you will agree that indeed this is what happens in life.

Heaven’s luck is the effect of past karmas on your present life. 40% of the luck we have comes from Heaven. This means our Heavenly Blessings or the good fortune we have created from the past (our past actions and deeds create good fortune) – which accumulates to become the luck we have now. The past karmas decide which family we will be born in and what date and time we will be born. In astrology we understand this as planetary influences on our life.

Earth’s Luck is the influence of our environment on our life. 30% of luck we have comes from earth. These are earth and nature’s energies and space energies effecting our life. These energies help you create a success or a prosperity mindset. In Vastu we understand is the effect of the five elements on our lives.

Man’s Luck is the remaining luck on which we have total control. It is the decisions we make, the choices we take and the actions we perform to achieve the goals of our life. The English proverb – “Work is worship” and the famous Shloka from Bhagwat Gita -  “कर्मणये वाधिकारस्ते मां फलेषु कदाचन । मां कर्मफलहेतुर्भू: मांते संङगोस्त्वकर्मणि”  emphasis the importance of this type of luck. You cannot and you will not be achieve any objective in life without the required efforts irrespective of what you do in Astrology and Vastu.

Many people ask me then what is Vastu and Astrology for? And I answer, “Vastu and Astrology are to act as a catalyst in your efforts. Their role is to support you, program your sub-conscious to lead you to the right decisions and right actions. That is exactly why several successful people believe and have used such metaphysical sciences in their life. They do not leave everything to destiny, they also strive to achieve their dreams.

The attached diagram explains my understanding of this three luck phenomenon, spend some time reflecting on it.

Good Time for Vastu Consultation of a House

"What is the right time to for a Vastu Consultation?" you may ask.

There are three best times when you can go for a Vastu Consultation.

Before Design

If you are making a new house on a plot, then before finalizing the design of the floor plan, is the right time for Vastu Consultation. A good Vastu Expert will mark areas in the plot where various activities can and cannot be performed. For example, he will mark the areas where the kitchen stove can be placed based on Vastu principles and practicality.

Before Moving in

When you do not have the inclination or privilege to build an independent bungalow, you move into an apartment in a builder floor or a multi-storied apartment complex. In this case the best time to do a vastu consultation is when you finalize the apartment. Choose 3-4 apartments in same or different buildings and ask the Vastu Consultant to choose the one which is vastu compliant. A good vastu consultation will understand your profession, problems and accordingly select the most suited apartment out of the ones you have short-listed.

When you need Vastu

Many a times one experiences that after moving to a new house certain incidents have happened; poor health, loss in business, fight amongst family members, and such. This calls for an immediate consultation by a competent Vastu expert. The Vastu expert will suggest corrective measures to be implemented to get rid of the problem.

In short anytime is a good time for Vastu consultation

The mind is an Antenna || How Vastu Acharyas manifest for you?

Technically, we know that antenna is a transducer designed to transmit and/or receive electromagnetic signals. Our sub-conscious mind is an antenna which communicates with the universe. Intuitive insights are achieved when the mind transmits the question and receives the answer from the universe.

Sub-conscious occupies about 90% of your mind while others say that it has unlimited capacity. Have you experienced that you were thinking about some problem while driving and suddenly you realize that you have reached the destination. Who took you to the destination? Similarly you are breathing even when you are in deep sleep. This is the faculty of the sub-conscious. Your cardio-vascular, digestive, respiratory, nervous, lymphatic, muscular systems are all governed by the sub-conscious mind and it works tirelessly throughout your life.

There are only two ways by which you can directly tap into your sub-conscious mind; by meditation and by dowsing.

Regular meditation done correctly over years develops in a person the capability to sense energies in the space which can be corrected to manifest for one self and clients.

A simpler method is dowsing. When a vastu expert dowse in search for an answer the sub-conscious still is the one getting the answers but it communicates the answer to Vastu Acharya through the muscular system by sending appropriate signals to the hands. The dowsing instrument which the Vastu Acharya is using is just amplifying the micro-signal received to a visible movement. That is the role of the instrument and nothing more the job appears to be done by it while it is just a servant of the sub-conscious reflecting what signals it receives.

MahaVastu: An Innovation in accordance with Sankhya Darshan

Sankhya Darshan

According to the Hindu Model of Universe, the Universe consists of two eternal realities; Purusha (soul) and Prakriti (nature). While Purusha is unchangeable (amongst its many other properties), the Prakriti is dynamic and variable (amongst its many other properties).

Any creation or transformation happens with the amalgamation or merger of Purush and Prakriti. This process of unification of two entities is aided by three of the Prakriti’s components; tamas (ignorance, darkness), rajas (action, expansiveness) and sattva (result, benefit, goodness)

When Purusha and Prakriti unite one of the four occur; creation, invention, innovation or evolution.

The Modern Concept of Innovation

If we consider a subject to be having a universe of its own (which we call domain in modern lingo), it should have two components Purush (the fixed part) and Prakriti (the variable part). The fixed part is what cannot be changed. This is like axioms, principles and theories of a subject. This fixed part defines a subject. If you remove them the subject loses its identity. In mathematics, 2+2=4 is an axiom and can never be changed. Similarly rules for addition, multiplication, division, etc. constitute the fixed part.

The variable part of the subject allows new innovations. For example, in mathematics, the decimal system is the variable part and we all know what resulted when decimal system was replaced by Boolean or binary system. All the fruits of computerization have become a reality today because of this variability.

A subject, a religion, a concept or system which is 100% inflexible and does not allow any flexibility does not evolve and over a period of time becomes obsolete and irrelevant while one which allows 100% flexibility loses its identity over time.

For innovations to happen the trick is to identify what is constant and fixed and what is variable and dynamic in a domain. The three components of Prakriti namely tamas, rajas and sattva help in finding the same. Tamas is the realization of ignorance and need for change, rajas with its passion and activity (hypothesis, ideation, implementation, experimentation and measurement) helps in creating a new state which is beneficial and for the good.

Let us take the example of Vastu to understand this further.

The Vishwakarma Prakash defines the tenets of Vastu. Vishwakarma Prakash dictates 16 directions to be utilized for different activities.

The need was to apply the concepts in modern context when the architecture has changed from the ancient times. When the Vastu Experts of modern times realized that today’s houses are neither built on square plots nor have sixteen rooms, so they changed the 16 zones (defined in ancient texts) to 8 zones (3x3 grid with 8 directions) to create what we call traditional vastu method. It is a beautiful example of not being able to identify the fixed and variable parts correctly. What resulted is a method which at-best gives the client a “good-to-have” feeling - A feeling that their house is vastu compliant, even if its benefits are not properly realized.

The evolution of MahaVastu happened in a completely different manner. Dr. Khushdeep Bansal realized that the 16 zones form part of the fixed part and created this concept of angular division which is different than the square and grid method (variable part). This accurate identification of the two parts created a system which is scientific and yields results for the clients.

I know of few Vastu experts who completely discarded the ancient texts and concept of 16 zones by declaring it to be irrelevant. In the context of this article they have completely removed the fixed part and created a new system out of absolute variability. They call themselves as vastu consultants but in fact they are no more than a geopaths

Is MahaVastu a Science?

Is MahaVastu a Science?

One question which often comes to mind regarding Vastu is - "Is Vastu a Science?"

Before answering this question with reference to Mahavastu let me first elaborate what classifies a concept or a field as science.

If you recall the times when you studied science in school or college, you will remember that there are 4 pre-requisites for a field to be classified as science: Hypothesis or Logic, Process, Repeatability and documented results.

Let us now elaborate how Mahavastu fulfills the requirements to be science:

Logic: As I wrote in my previous post, Mahavastu is the decoding of the ancient science of Vastu originally originated by Lord Vishwakarma, the architect of Heaven and great cities like Dwarka. By this decoding Dr. Khushdeep Bansal the creator of MahaVastu has removed all myths, superstitions, and distortions which contaminated Vastu and decoded the original sutras to apply them to the contemporary times. Mahavastu explains the logic of Vastushastra in a lucid manner. The decoding is a hypothesis which is based on sound logic.

Process: Scientific experiments have to follow a process and cannot be performed in an ad hoc manner. In Mahavastu, the Mahavastu Experts follow a fixed four step process to perform the analysis and apply remedies.

Repeatability: This is the most important aspect of Science. Many a scientists have failed to get due recognition for their work because they could not successfully repeat their experiments. By repeatability I mean that everytime a same input is applied to a certain condition you will get the same output. For example, everytime when you throw a ball up when standing on the ground and within the earth's environment, the result is that the ball comes down. We all know this is due to gravity. If you change the condition which means that if you are not inside the earth's environment and are standing outside it (it will be impossible to stand there but still let us suppose) and if you throw the ball up, it will not come down. So for the same condition you get the same output for a particular input.

In Mahavastu for a certain situation (a particular set of observations in a livable space), if you apply a particular Vastu Remedy or correction it will always result in the same result whether irrespective of whose house it is.This can be verified only by documenting these experiments (consultations).

Documented Results: These repeated experiments with their inputs, outputs and conditions have to be documented each time it is performed in order to prove this science. Dr. Khushdeep Bansal and his team of more than 200 Mahavastu experts have documented about 10,000 case studies to prove that the decoding is correct and it works each time (repeatability).

The proof of the pudding is in eating it. There are only two ways to experience the sanctity of my above arguments: become a Mahavastu Expert yourself or consult a MahaVastu Expert.
