We were visiting a friend’s house during Diwali. While we
were talking their children were in their room watching TV. In between their son came to the drawing room
and started picking food items from the plate from which we were munching
snacks. After eating few he started filling the snacks in his pocket. Both I
and my wife were smiling with his act but his mother got annoyed. She
admonished him by just a glare and a loud, “Rohit”.
He stormed out of the room with clenched jaws. A little
while later we heard a vailing sound from the children’s room and the
lady of
the house rushed to see what has happened.
Apparently Rohit had beaten up his little sister over
something and she has been crying inconsolably.
My friend’s wife explained us
that their son has fits of uncontrolled anger which fires up when he is stopped
from doing what he wants. They keep getting complains from the school as well
for he beats up and shouts at his class mates every now and then.
I suggested that I have a look at their house from a Vastu
perspective for which they readily agreed. The whole area of South to South
East had a wall painted red. A quick mental calculations revealed that this
space is also more in carpet area as compared to the rest of their apartment. A
painting showing the front view of a growling tiger was installed on the
North-East wall.
I suggested them to change the color of the wall, re-locate
the painting and share the results. When I next met them on New Year ’s Eve,
they were delighted to report that there has been a tremendous improvement in
their son’s behavior both in school and at home.
