On August 25, 2017, the world will celebrate the birth anniversary of Lord Ganesha, the most favorite God of Indians. Millions of people will welcome Lord Ganesha in their homes and pray to him to give them prosperity, peace and harmony in their lives.
Lord Ganesha figurines (or statues) are also the favorite
gifts of Indians to give to their near and dear ones during auspicious
occasions like Diwali, wedding, house warming, etc. This results in Lord
Ganesha being used as a décor and His figurines are placed in different rooms
and on different walls as a décor.
Vastu does not suggest that Gods and Goddesses be placed
anywhere other than the Puja room. However, the recipients of these gifts are
in a dilemma as regards to their placement as many of them are made of material
which is not suited for worship like resin and fiber.
In such a case we should look at the statue in terms of its
symbolism and form. Lord Ganesha is the God of knowledge and wealth and is also
known as a remover of obstacles.
With this vastu symbolism in mind, place the figurine of the
Lord in the North (facing South) to fulfill your desires, in the center to
harness your skills and in the zone of knowledge i.e. area between West and
South West for a sharp memory
May Lord Ganesha bless you this Ganesha Chaturthi
